A managed blog alongside your Wix website

Keep your Wix website on its current platform and run a managed blog at an address such as blog.yourcompany.com. RankYourApp supplies the writing, review and publishing routine; you connect the domain and link readers from your existing website.

Connect a blog address you control

Choose the managed blog route in RankYourApp and enter your intended public blog address. This setup works alongside Wix, using a subdomain of your business's own domain.

If Wix manages the domain's DNS, add the records shown in RankYourApp through your Wix domain settings. If the domain is hosted elsewhere, update the records at that provider instead. Keep the existing website's working records in place.

Complete DNS and HTTPS verification before directing readers to the blog. The temporary rankyourapp.io/blogs/ preview address is for checking the setup and is not the permanent public destination.

Connect the reader journey

In the Wix editor, add a menu link to the verified blog subdomain and publish the site changes. Test the link from the public website, then open a real article and check that readers can find their way back to your services or contact page.

Choose topics related to real customer questions and services you actually offer. Set review mode while checking the first articles so someone familiar with the business can approve important claims before publication.

Preserve existing articles

If you already use Wix Blog, keep its posts and article addresses intact. A managed RankYourApp blog is a separate destination. Decide how readers should move between the existing archive and new content before changing the Blog item in your Wix menu.

A blog on your own website path instead of a subdomain requires a separate, compatible server-side or build-time installation. Ask the person maintaining the website to assess the developer API requirements before selecting that route. A browser embed alone does not provide the required article HTML.

Common questions

Does this publish into the native Wix blog?
The supported route described here uses a separate managed blog on your own subdomain. It does not publish into Wix's native blog or CMS.
What do I need before starting?
Access to the domain's DNS, the intended blog address and permission to update the main site's navigation. Someone who manages the website can complete those steps for you.
