Publishing case study

SimplyBoard: privacy and publishing

SimplyBoard uses our publishing technology for its privacy-focused notes product. Its example shows how an ongoing content catalog can support a smaller application, with subjects tied to the product's actual use cases rather than a broad, unrelated publishing plan.

Observed readers from Google Search

SimplyBoard's verified Search Console property recorded 606 clicks and 83K impressions from Web search between 31 July and 30 October 2026. This provides measured search evidence alongside the account and content-catalog counts.

The Pages report includes 42 clicks and 3,169 impressions for the private encrypted notes guide, and 40 clicks and 6,041 impressions for the offline notes article. These figures cover existing content and are not a claim that every click came from a new RankYourApp article. Search clicks are not unique people, signups or paid conversions.

Keep the subject close to the product

SimplyBoard gives its blog a clear subject: storing, finding and using private notes. Its public catalog includes note-taking alternatives, encrypted storage and practical ways to organise information. These topics connect to decisions the product's intended users make.

A focused brief also makes factual review more useful. Encryption and privacy explanations need to match the actual implementation and published product information. They should not turn a general discussion of security into an unsupported certification or guarantee.

An operating content catalog

SimplyBoard uses our shared engine's content workflow. The database check found 151 article records marked published, including a recent record about brute-force protection for encrypted notes.

The count describes the catalog, including existing content. A published database record alone does not establish that every article is indexed, receives search traffic or appears correctly on every delivery route. We link to the public blog so the reader can inspect the destination independently.

The lesson for a smaller SaaS team

The process still starts with accurate product facts and a useful customer question. Choose a cadence the team can review, keep sensitive technical claims within the team's expertise and confirm the final page at the publishing destination.

For another small product, the repeatable part is the plan, draft, check, review and delivery process. Account growth and conversions should be evaluated through the product's own acquisition data over time. This case study does not claim that all SimplyBoard accounts came from organic search.

Sources and measurement notes

Figures are dated snapshots. Product users, activity, store downloads and blog records measure different things; the counts are not added together or presented as traffic attributed to SEO.
