Existing blogs and posts

Keep your CMS, old posts and URLs while adding new articles to the same blog.

Tell RankYourApp about the blog

In setup, or New or existing blog on Connections, select This website already has a blog. Enter its Blog index address and save it. Find the existing blog looks for candidate addresses; check the one you select before saving.

The goal is to keep existing posts in their original CMS and at their current URLs, with new articles joining that blog.

WordPress and Framer

Keep WordPress's Posts page and permalink settings. In Framer, keep the existing article collection and detail template path. Read existing posts reads their inventory for topic deduplication and internal links. It does not move their bodies out of the CMS.

The inventory is read in pages of up to 100 posts. If Read next 100 existing posts appears, continue until it is complete. You can read the inventory again later.

AI builder and API installs

The installation prompt asks your developer to merge the existing content source with RankYourApp's articles, preserve the old article routes and include the blog's content in the sitemap. Verify old post URLs after installation. A client-only embed or a replacement template cannot do that migration automatically. AI builder installation · Developer API

Moving to a managed subdomain

A managed blog on blog.yourcompany.com is a separate destination. Choosing it does not move old posts or redirects for you. Arrange the migration separately if you want existing content moved, and keep the old URLs working until that work is complete. Managed blog and domains
