Choose the supported publishing route
For a straightforward setup, choose the managed blog option and your own blog subdomain. Follow the domain instructions shown in RankYourApp and add the required records at the provider that controls your DNS.
The public blog address should be stable before writing begins. A temporary rankyourapp.io/blogs/ preview helps you inspect the setup, but it is not the permanent customer-facing address.
Connect the website navigation
Add a Blog link in the Webflow site's navigation that points to the verified blog subdomain. Test it from the published site and check that a visitor can return to your services or product pages.
The managed blog runs alongside the main website. Do not assume a Webflow CMS collection has been connected merely because the blog domain works. Native Webflow collection publishing is a different integration and is not what this setup describes.
Treat an existing Webflow blog carefully
If the site already has a Webflow blog, preserve its article URLs and content source. Decide how the new publishing route will coexist with that content before changing the public Blog link.
A custom server-side API installation beside Webflow is an advanced developer route with hosting and routing requirements. Use the deployment recipes to evaluate that option; it is not a paste-in browser embed. For many teams, the managed subdomain is the simpler installation to maintain.
Common questions
- Does this post into Webflow CMS?
- The route described here uses a separate managed blog on your subdomain. It does not publish articles into a native Webflow CMS collection.
- Do I need access to DNS?
- Yes, or help from the person who manages your domain. Complete domain and HTTPS verification before making the blog the public destination for readers.
