A managed blog alongside Squarespace

Keep your Squarespace website on its current platform and run a managed blog at an address such as blog.yourcompany.com. RankYourApp supplies the writing, review and publishing routine; you connect the domain and link readers from your existing website.

Connect a blog address you control

Choose the managed blog route in RankYourApp and enter your intended public blog address. This setup works alongside Squarespace, using a subdomain of your business's own domain.

If Squarespace manages your domain, enter the displayed DNS records in its domain settings. If your domain belongs to another provider, use that provider's DNS controls. Follow the exact records and verification status shown in RankYourApp.

Complete DNS and HTTPS verification before directing readers to the blog. The temporary rankyourapp.io/blogs/ preview address is for checking the setup and is not the permanent public destination.

Connect the reader journey

Add the verified blog address as a navigation link in Squarespace and publish the change. Open it from the live site, not just the editor preview. Check the article listing, a detail page and the links back to the relevant business pages.

Choose topics related to real customer questions and services you actually offer. Set review mode while checking the first articles so someone familiar with the business can approve important claims before publication.

Preserve existing articles

An existing Squarespace blog keeps its own content source and URLs. The managed RankYourApp option supplies a separate blog subdomain; it does not insert articles into a Squarespace blog collection. Review the existing archive before changing navigation.

A blog on your own website path instead of a subdomain requires a separate, compatible server-side or build-time installation. Ask the person maintaining the website to assess the developer API requirements before selecting that route. A browser embed alone does not provide the required article HTML.

Common questions

Does this publish into the native Squarespace blog?
The supported route described here uses a separate managed blog on your own subdomain. It does not publish into Squarespace's native blog or CMS.
What do I need before starting?
Access to the domain's DNS, the intended blog address and permission to update the main site's navigation. Someone who manages the website can complete those steps for you.
