Squarespace

Connect your managed blog, configure domain records and add a Squarespace navigation link.

Choose a managed blog on your domain

In RankYourApp, choose Another website platform and managed placement at blog.yourcompany.com. You need a domain you control and access to its DNS. The blog is hosted separately; this connection does not write posts to a Squarespace blog collection.

No Squarespace API key, developer account or extension is required for the managed route. Request your domain-specific records in RankYourApp and follow DNS setup.

If Squarespace manages your DNS

For a domain whose DNS is managed by Squarespace:

  1. Open the domains dashboard and select your domain.
  2. Click DNS → DNS Settings, scroll to Custom Records and click Add record.
  3. Complete any password or two-factor verification requested.
  4. Choose the type shown by RankYourApp. For CNAME, enter its host in Name and target hostname in Data. For TXT, enter its host in Name and verification value in Text.
  5. Click Save and repeat for every setup record.

Squarespace automatically appends the domain to Name. For a record at blog.yourcompany.com, enter blog; for _rankyourapp.blog.yourcompany.com, enter _rankyourapp.blog when the selected domain is yourcompany.com. Keep the existing website and email records. Official CNAME creation steps · Official TXT creation and host-name instructions

If Squarespace does not manage your domain’s DNS, use its actual DNS provider. Return to RankYourApp and run Check DNS, HTTPS and installation until the live domain is verified.

Existing posts and an installation on your own path

Your old Squarespace blog remains a separate content source. Connecting a managed blog does not import its posts or redirect its URLs. Preserve those addresses unless you separately arrange a migration. Existing blogs

A custom installation on your own site's path needs a developer to satisfy the Developer API contract, including indexable initial HTML and a private server/build key. A code-injection snippet, iframe or browser-only feed does not complete installation. The current form has no direct Squarespace CMS publishing-token option.
